| What you get | thexsys | SAP Business One |
|---|---|---|
| Languages and documents | ||
| Arabic and English | Written in both at the same time: the layout is built right-to-left, a build check refuses left-to-right-only rules, and every Arabic plural form is in the catalogues. | English-first; Arabic screens and printouts usually come through a local partner’s localisation, to our knowledge. |
| Documents and contracts | Invoices, quotations and other PDFs typeset properly in Arabic and English; contracts with each Arabic clause paired beside its English one. | Print layouts are designed per company; Arabic and bilingual layouts are usually built by the partner. |
| More languages | Further languages arrive as packs; a line not yet translated shows in English rather than empty. | Many languages and country versions. |
| Gulf compliance | ||
| E-invoicing | ZATCA Fatoora phase 2 for Saudi Arabia and PINT-AE for the UAE, built into the invoice itself, in the same ledger. | Saudi e-invoicing is generally delivered through partner or add-on solutions; check the coverage for your country. |
| Payroll and WPS | The Payroll (GCC) app: WPS files for Qatar, the UAE and Saudi Arabia, end-of-service, allowances, loans and payslips. | Payroll is not part of the core product, to our knowledge; Gulf payroll and WPS come from partner add-ons. |
| Where the data lives | Runs on Google Cloud in Doha, Qatar; tenant data stays in that region. | On your own servers, or hosted by a partner or a cloud provider — where depends on who hosts it. |
| Industries | ||
| Ready-made industries | 83 industry models, 76 open today: one install brings the apps, workflows, dashboards, documents and starting data for your trade. | A general ERP; industry solutions are built on it by partners. |
| Gulf trades | Models written for trading and distribution, restaurants, retail, pharmacies, clinics, contractors and ELV. | Strong in trading and distribution; other trades through partner add-ons. |
| Pricing model | ||
| How you pay | One app free forever. Paid plans from $9 per user / month, and every app is included from Standard at $19. Customers and suppliers on the portal never count as seats. | Named-user licences, usually bought with implementation through an SAP partner. See their pricing page. |
| One subscription for the whole business | One plan, one bill and one database for every app you switch on. | One licence for the core ERP; localisation, payroll and industry add-ons are often bought separately from partners. |
| Features you will not find in the standard suites | ||
| Quote options across sister companies | One quotation in several options, each one issued from whichever of your companies should carry it. | Not in the standard product, to our knowledge. |
| Drop a quotation, get the lines | Drop a supplier quotation as a PDF or a photo and its lines are read on our own servers — no AI provider involved. English-language documents today; Arabic is next. | Document capture through add-ons; how it is processed and priced is theirs or the partner’s to state. |
| Sealed tenders | Bids sealed in the bidder’s browser, opened only by a quorum, scored evaluation and a published award, with a bidding app for suppliers. | Not in the standard product, to our knowledge. |
| Cheque printing | Print the cheque itself on the bank’s own stationery, from a payment voucher, with a layout editor for any bank not yet listed. | Cheque printing is available; bank layouts are usually set up by the partner. |
| Delivery platforms | Connect: orders from the delivery platforms in one screen, the menu and stock pushed back out, and the payout reconciled to the bank. | Through third-party connectors, where they exist for your platforms. |
| Academy and partners | ||
| Learning | thexsys Academy: courses in Arabic and English, labs graded inside a real workspace, and performance exams. | Online learning and certification through SAP. |
| Credentials anyone can check | Every certificate, diploma and partner role is signed and verifiable by number, QR code or the PDF itself. | Certifications issued by SAP; how to check one is theirs to state. |
| Partner network | Seven ways to partner, tiers that rise with certified people and customers, and a public directory. Young, and growing. | A large, long-established network of SAP partners, who sell and implement it. |

Where they are stronger
A comparison that wins every row is not worth reading. These are real advantages, and you should weigh them.
- SAP Business One has a long track record and a worldwide network of partners who know it well. Ours is younger.
- Its inventory, production planning and distribution functions are deep and proven in demanding trading companies.
- It can run on your own servers, and a large ecosystem of add-ons extends it. thexsys is a hosted service only, and our marketplace is just starting.
- The SAP name, and a path to larger SAP systems as a group grows, matter to some boards and auditors.
Questions
Can I move from SAP Business One to thexsys?
Yes. The X Migration app takes products, customers, suppliers and stock from a file exported by your old system: upload, map the columns, preview, run — and undo if something is wrong. A thexsys partner can do the move for you.
Do I need an implementation project?
Not to start. An industry model installs the apps, workflows, documents and starting data for your trade in one step, and you can begin with one app free. For a larger move, a thexsys partner can run the project with you.
Can I run thexsys on my own servers?
No. thexsys is a hosted service, running on Google Cloud in Doha. Your data stays yours: you can export it at any time in open formats — JSON, PDF and XLSX or CSV.
Is thexsys cheaper than SAP Business One?
Our prices are on our pricing page, read from the price list we publish. SAP Business One is priced by SAP and its partners. Compare the plan you would actually need, for the users and the apps you would actually use — and count the implementation too.
