thexsys and Dynamics 365 Business Central
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a widely used cloud ERP for growing businesses, extended by partners and by apps on AppSource. thexsys is one system written in Arabic and English at once, with Gulf e-invoicing and WPS payroll in the product rather than added on. Here is how they differ — including where Business Central is ahead.

| What you get | thexsys | Business Central |
|---|---|---|
| Languages and documents | ||
| Arabic and English | Written in both at the same time: the layout is built right-to-left, a build check refuses left-to-right-only rules, and every Arabic plural form is in the catalogues. | English-first; Arabic depends on the localisation available for your country, often from a partner — check before you choose. |
| Documents and contracts | Invoices, quotations and other PDFs typeset properly in Arabic and English; contracts with each Arabic clause paired beside its English one. | Report layouts can be customised; bilingual Arabic and English documents usually take partner work. |
| More languages | Further languages arrive as packs; a line not yet translated shows in English rather than empty. | Many languages and country versions, some of them from partners. |
| Gulf compliance | ||
| E-invoicing | ZATCA Fatoora phase 2 for Saudi Arabia and PINT-AE for the UAE, built into the invoice itself, in the same ledger. | Saudi e-invoicing through localisation apps, often from partners; check the coverage for your country. |
| Payroll and WPS | The Payroll (GCC) app: WPS files for Qatar, the UAE and Saudi Arabia, end-of-service, allowances, loans and payslips. | Payroll is included for a few countries only, to our knowledge; Gulf payroll and WPS come as partner apps. |
| Where the data lives | Runs on Google Cloud in Doha, Qatar; tenant data stays in that region. | Microsoft’s cloud, in the regions it offers — check which one would serve your country. |
| Industries | ||
| Ready-made industries | 83 industry models, 76 open today: one install brings the apps, workflows, dashboards, documents and starting data for your trade. | A general ERP; industry needs through partner apps on AppSource. |
| Gulf trades | Models written for trading and distribution, restaurants, retail, pharmacies, clinics, contractors and ELV. | General-purpose apps; trade-specific needs through partners or AppSource. |
| Pricing model | ||
| How you pay | One app free forever. Paid plans from $9 per user / month, and every app is included from Standard at $19. Customers and suppliers on the portal never count as seats. | Per user per month, with plan levels such as Essentials and Premium. See their pricing page. |
| One subscription for the whole business | One plan, one bill and one database for every app you switch on. | One subscription for the core; AppSource apps and Microsoft 365 are licensed separately. |
| Features you will not find in the standard suites | ||
| Quote options across sister companies | One quotation in several options, each one issued from whichever of your companies should carry it. | Not in the standard product, to our knowledge. |
| Drop a quotation, get the lines | Drop a supplier quotation as a PDF or a photo and its lines are read on our own servers — no AI provider involved. English-language documents today; Arabic is next. | Incoming-document capture is available; how it is processed and priced is theirs to state. |
| Sealed tenders | Bids sealed in the bidder’s browser, opened only by a quorum, scored evaluation and a published award, with a bidding app for suppliers. | Not in the standard product, to our knowledge. |
| Cheque printing | Print the cheque itself on the bank’s own stationery, from a payment voucher, with a layout editor for any bank not yet listed. | Cheque printing for some countries’ layouts; check whether your bank is covered. |
| Delivery platforms | Connect: orders from the delivery platforms in one screen, the menu and stock pushed back out, and the payout reconciled to the bank. | Through third-party connectors, where they exist for your platforms. |
| Academy and partners | ||
| Learning | thexsys Academy: courses in Arabic and English, labs graded inside a real workspace, and performance exams. | Microsoft Learn, with free courses and certification exams. |
| Credentials anyone can check | Every certificate, diploma and partner role is signed and verifiable by number, QR code or the PDF itself. | Certifications issued by Microsoft; how to check one is theirs to state. |
| Partner network | Seven ways to partner, tiers that rise with certified people and customers, and a public directory. Young, and growing. | A large, long-established partner network around the world. |

Where they are stronger
A comparison that wins every row is not worth reading. These are real advantages, and you should weigh them.
- Business Central sits inside the Microsoft world: Microsoft 365, Teams, Power BI and Power Automate work closely with it.
- AppSource offers a very large number of partner apps, and Microsoft’s partner network is worldwide. Our marketplace and partner network are younger.
- Microsoft holds a wide range of independent security and compliance certifications. We are working towards SOC 2 Type I and say exactly that.
- Microsoft runs data centres in many regions; thexsys runs in one, in Doha.
Questions
Can I move from Business Central to thexsys?
Yes. The X Migration app takes products, customers, suppliers and stock from a file exported by your old system: upload, map the columns, preview, run — and undo if something is wrong. A thexsys partner can do the move for you.
Do I need localisation apps for the Gulf?
No. ZATCA Fatoora phase 2, PINT-AE and WPS payroll for Qatar, the UAE and Saudi Arabia are part of the product, on the same invoice and in the same ledger.
Can other systems connect to thexsys?
Yes. A public API and signed webhooks let other systems read and write, and the developers pages document both.
Is thexsys cheaper than Business Central?
Our prices are on our pricing page, read from the price list we publish; Microsoft’s are on its own pricing page. Compare the plan you would actually need, for the users and the apps you would actually use.
