The room is the unit of work

A boardroom, an auditorium, a majlis, a prayer hall, a stadium concourse. Give it its size, its farthest chair and its ambient noise, and the screen size, the loudspeaker grid, the sound level at the worst seat and the amplifier all follow — each with the standard it came from.

Sized to AVIXA DISCAS, not to habit

The farthest chair sets the smallest picture that works: within six image heights to read a slide, within four to read a spreadsheet. Specify a 65" screen in a room that needs 98" and the design says so before the order is placed, not after the client sits down.

The schematic is the database

Devices and connections are rows, not a picture. Draw a cable once and it becomes a line on the cable schedule, a metre on the bill of quantities, a tag on site and a row in the as-built. An HDMI output cannot be joined to a Dante input: the editor refuses it and names the converter that would be needed.

A rack elevation that adds up

1U accurate, front and rear checked separately, with the power, the heat in BTU per hour and the weight totalled as you build it. AV racks live inside joinery, and joinery has no air conditioning — so the number that matters is printed before the cabinet is ordered.

Handover that a client can actually use

An AVIXA-style closeout pack: as-builts, the generated cable schedule, the IP list, configuration backups, licences, signed test results, warranties and a one-page user guide in Arabic and English. It will not issue until the list is complete, and it says exactly what is still missing.

Signage that nobody publishes by accident

Players, screens, playlists and schedules, with content drafted, approved by a named person and only then scheduled. Proof of play records what actually appeared on which screen and for how long — the record an advertiser is paying for.
